Chicago's mayor taps $95M in federal COVID-19 relief funds for migrant housing costs: report
Fox News
Chicago's Mayor Brandon Johnson will use the city's budget surplus of $95 million to accommodate the continued migrant housing costs, according to the mayor's top aids.
Johnson’s senior adviser, Jason Lee, said that while the resources will help, it will not "change the outlook" for the windy city's continued "unstable" migrant crisis. Sarah Rumpf-Whitten is a breaking news writer for Fox News Digital and Fox Business.
"This doesn’t change that outlook," Lee told the Sun-Times. "We’re going to continue to lobby the federal government for more support as the situation becomes, frankly, more unstable." She is a native of Massachusetts and is based in Orlando, Florida.
