Charu Asopa says ‘Rajeev Sen and I are done. We are not right for each other’ | Exclusive

Charu Asopa and Rajeev Sen got married in 2019. The former, in an exclusive chat, spoke about why she is not considering reconciliation.

Charu Asopa and Rajeev Sen continue to make headlines because of their estranged relationship. The couple got married to each other in 2019, in a private ceremony. Shortly during the lockdown, reports suggested that there was trouble brewing between the two. Rajeev and Charu then went public with their issues, becoming the talk of the town. Recently, Charu added ‘Sen’ to her Instagram profile and Rajeev left a comment on it, which left everyone wondering if things were fine between the two. Rajeev even told IndiaToday.in that the duo is working on their relationship. However, Charu has now exclusively told IndiaToday.in that there is nothing left in their relationship.

Charu said, “I have already filed for divorce. My lawyer has sent the mutual consent draft to Rajeev already. He said that he wants to make some changes in the draft, so we have been waiting for a revert from his lawyer. His lawyer has not responded at all, despite multiple calls.”

When asked to comment on Rajeev's claims of the duo working on their relationship, Charu shared, “We have not spoken about mending differences. I have always said that divorce proceedings are going on.”

Charu also made it clear that she is not looking at any kind of reconciliation now. “I have made all the efforts needed to work on the relationship and now I am done. I must now look at my daughter, Ziana, and I can’t keep giving chances. This relationship between me and Rajeev is not working. That doesn’t mean I will stop him from being a father to Ziana. Between us it will not work out. I tried my best and now I am done.”

She explained, “I am not saying Rajeev is a bad person, but it is just that we are not right for each other. Our ideologies about relationships are different. He feels running away from problems is good and I feel the opposite.“ Charu also added, “Rajeev recently even lied about not being aware of my divorce before our marriage. And now he is saying that we are working on our relationship?“

Rajeev and Charu are parents to daughter Ziana.
