
Charlotte shooting: 3 US Marshals killed, 5 officers injured serving warrant, suspect dead

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said "numerous" officers were shot in Charlotte on Monday afternoon, with 3 deaths reported. The suspected gunman was killed.
In addition to the three deceased U.S. Marshals Task Force officers, four Charlotte police officers were injured. One officer was injured critically. "At least one shooting suspect was located deceased at the residence after clearing the scene," police wrote on X. "CMPD is questioning two other occupants of the home."
