Former World and Olympic champion Giovanni Cernogoraz joins Shooting League of India, excited for new experience and future prospects.
One of the best trap shooters in the world, former World and Olympic champion Giovanni Cernogoraz of Croatia, expressed excitement after enrolling for the Shooting League of India (SLI).
The London Olympics champion, who won his World Championship gold in 2023 in Baku, said that he was looking forward to the “new experience” in the league.
“The format seems a very interesting idea for the future,” said Cernogoraz who had won the World Cup Final medal in Delhi in 2017.
“I only have good memories of India, the food, the weather, the people. Everyone was helpful. The range was beautiful, the organisation was great, and I won a bronze,” recalled Cernogoraz.
The Croat was confident that the mix of youth and experienced shooters will make the league come alive.
“Before a competition, I do reflex and stability exercises. I like running. During competition, I eat only carbs and fruits, no meat. This keeps me sharp,” he said about his training regimen.
