Centre examining Alapan Bandyopadhyay's reply to show-cause notice, action against ex-Bengal chief secretary soon

Bandyopadhyay was to retire on May 31 and had earlier been given three months extension. The central government had on May 28 issued an order to recall Bandyopadhyay, and said the placement of his services with the government has been approved.
New Delhi: The central government is examining the reply of former West Bengal Chief Secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay to its show-cause notice sent to him and said that it will decide on the course of action against him soon. On Friday, news agency ANI quoted informed sources as saying, "A reply from Alapan Bandyopadhyay has been received last night and it is being examined. The further course of action will be decided soon." West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee`s newly appointed Chief Advisor, Alapan Bandyopadhyay was issued a show-cause notice by the central government under the Disaster Management Act, 2005 asking him to write within three days.More Related News
