CBI books 5 CRPF personnel for taking bribes to induct failed candidates into elite CoBRA unit

Five CRPF personnel have been booked by the CBI for receiving bribes from failed candidates in exchange for inducting them into the elite CoBRA unit.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has lodged an FIR against five CRPF personnel on allegations of demanding and receiving bribes from failed candidates for inducting them into the force's elite CoBRA unit in 2018.

CoBRA is a specialized force raised for guerilla and jungle warfare-type operations for dealing with extremists and insurgents.
