CBI arrests 2 absconding directors of Bengal-based chit fund firm

The directors of Global Infra Energy Limited, Saket Banerjee and Kamaljeet Banerjee, were arrested from Lucknow in connection with a ponzi scam case.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two directors of a West Bengal-based chit fund company in connection with a ponzi scam case, officials said. The directors of Global Infra Energy Limited, Saket Banerjee and Kamaljeet Banerjee, were arrested from Lucknow by the CBI officials. “Both the absconding directors of West Bengal’s Asansol-based Global Infra Energy Limited were arrested from their hideout in Gomti Nagar of Lucknow,” said a CBI source.
