Carrefour Qatar and Education Above All collaborate to raise funds to ‘Protect Education’

Doha: Carrefour has launched a fundraising campaign in collaboration with Education Above All (EAA), to recognise the importance of raising awareness about protecting everyone’s right to education. The campaign was launched to support vulnerable children and students globally in recognition of the second International Day to Protect Education from Attack.
The fundraising campaign helped raise all-important funds which were donated to the EAA Foundation’s #UniteToProtect project. Customers in Qatar were encouraged to donate to the campaign whenever they would visit any one of Carrefour’s stores across the country. Carrefour matched the amount donated by customers on the 9th of September, which is the International Day to Protect Education from Attack.
The launch of the fundraising initiative followed a two-week back-to-school campaign, in which Carrefour partnered with Unilever as the company donated QR1 to EAA, each time a customer bought a Lux, Lifebuoy, Omo, Knorr or Hellman’s mayonnaise from Carrefour. Customers were also given the opportunity to be eligible for a free entry coupon to receive one of 150 exciting gifts every time a customer donates QR10 or more.
