
Captured Venezuelan dictator Maduro pleads not guilty before judge cuts off outburst

Nicolas Maduro arraigned Monday in New York federal court on drug trafficking and weapons charges after Venezuelan dictator's capture by American forces.
"I am innocent. I am not guilty. I am a decent man. I am still president of my country," Maduro told the court, as the judge cut him off.
The defendant appeared in jail clothes under a black T-shirt, sitting with New York-based defense attorney Barry Pollack, and took notes as Judge Alvin Hellerstein vowed to ensure a fair trial.
