Canada and Finland are playing in the Olympic men's hockey semifinal. The winner will go the gold medal game while the loser will play for bronze.
MILAN — Top-seeded Canada is looking to win its first Olympic men's hockey gold medal since the last time the NHL sent players to the Winter Games in 2014.
Finland is looking to defend the gold medal that it won in 2022 in Beijing without NHL players, and Canada will be without captain Sidney Crosby (lower body injury).
The two teams will play in Friday's early men's hockey semifinal to see which country will go to the gold medal game and which one will play for bronze.

Canada, which won gold medals in 2002, 2010 and 2014 with NHL players, is 4-0 this year, boasting a deep team that beat Czechia, Switzerland and France in the preliminary round by a combined 20-3 score and rallied to beat Czechia in overtime in the quarterfinal.
