Republican California gubernatorial candidate Kevin Faulconer unveiled his plan to fix the state's homelessness crisis Tuesday.
Faulconer cited his experience reducing homelessness in San Diego, where he was mayor from 2014 to 2020. The city touted a report in April 2020 showing that the number of people living on the street in San Diego dropped by 12% that year, despite rising homelessness in other California cities. "You're seeing the continued explosion of homelessness in every part of the state. We took firm, compassionate action in San Diego," Faulconer said. "We care enough about people not to let them die on the streets in a tent."More Related News
