Cabinet approves Qatar-Iran maritime transport agreement

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday. Following the meeting, HE the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Sulaiti issued the following statement: The Council considered the topics on the agenda as follows: First- The Cabinet was informed of the Shura Council's approval of a draft law regulating the ownership of the real estate in the State by diplomatic and consular missions. Second- The Cabinet approved - in principle - a draft law repealing Law No. 7 of 1991 regarding imposing a fee on obtaining certificates issued by the Ministry of Defense. Third - The Cabinet took the necessary measures to ratify the maritime transport agreement between the Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Fourth - The Cabinet approved a draft agreement between the government of Qatar and the government of the Republic of Burundi on regulating the employment of Burundian workers in the State of Qatar. Fifth - The Cabinet reviewed the annual report of the Qatar General Authority for Standardization and Metrology for 2021 and took the appropriate decision in this regard.
