The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a ₹26,058 crore production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for auto, auto-components and drone industry to enhance India’s manufacturing capabilities, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said on Wednesday.
The PLI scheme will incentivise the emergence of advanced automotive technologies' global supply chain in India. It would help create additional employment of over 7.6 lakh people.
Incentives worth ₹26,058 crore will be provided to industry over five years, the minister told reporters after the Cabinet meeting.

The design team at The Indian Twist works on the spontaneous artworks by children and young adults from A Brush With Art (@abwa_chennai) and CanBridge Academy (thecanbridgeacademy), “kneading” them into its products, thereby transforming these artworks into a state of saleability. CanBridge Academy provides life skill training to young adults with autism. And ABWA promotes “expression of natural art in children with special needs”.
