Budget 2022 Expectations: Appliances, consumer electronics industry seeks govt incentives and customs duty hike

New Delhi: The domestic appliances and consumer electronics industry anticipates a rise in customs duty on completed items in the upcoming budget, as well as incentives for specialised R&D and localization initiatives under the PLI scheme, to deter imports and enable import substitution.
