
Boston suburb triples cash payments in expanded guaranteed income program

The Brookline Housing Authority tripled guaranteed income payments to $750 monthly for 55 low-income households in a new pilot program funded by federal dollars.

The pilot program will pay 55 Brookline, Massachusetts, households $750 for 12 months. It received $460,000 from the American Rescue Plan Act and a $76,000 grant from the Brookline Community Foundation.
