Bombay High Court refuses to interfere with BMC’s circular on animal sacrifices for Bakr Eid

The Bombay High Court has disposed of petitions seeking the court’s directions to the BMC regarding providing a specific place for religious sacrifice of water buffaloes and about the permitted number of buffaloes allowed to be slaughtered on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
The Bombay High Court on Tuesday disposed of two petitions, seeking directions to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to increase the permitted number of sacrifices of water buffaloes at Deonar Abattoir in Mumbai on Bakr Eid. The pleas also sought directions to designate a place for religious sacrifices. The petitions which sought location for slaughtering had been filed a few months ago and came up for hearing now.More Related News
