
Bomb scare at Kochi airport; passenger questioned

Police arrested a passenger at Cochin international Airport on October 25, suspecting he was carrying a bomb. He was later released on personal bond. Security personnel found something suspicious in his baggage, prompting police to intervene. Flight to Dubai was not delayed.
The Nedumbassery police in Kerala have arrested an passenger bound for Dubai on suspicion of carrying a bomb. He was later released on personal bond, it is learnt. The incident occurred around 12.30 a.m. on October 25 at the Cochin international airport.
The passenger from Alappuzha was to fly to Dubai by a Spice Jet flight. When security personnel searched his baggage, there arose some suspicion and the police was called in after close questioning of the passenger.
The Dubai flight was, however, not delayed, sources said.
