BJP's Mukesh Suryan takes oath as SDMC Mayor

BJP councillor Mukesh Suryan took oath as the Mayor of the South Delhi Municipal Corporation elections (SDMC) on Wednesday.

Mukesh Suryan, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) councillor from Sagarpur West Ward, was unanimously elected as the Mayor of the South Delhi Municipal Corporation elections (SDMC). After taking over the new post, Mukesh Suryan said, "In view of the financial challenges being faced by the SDMC due to the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown, we need to focus on a better revenue generation plan to deal with the situation and try to make the South Corporation self-sustainable."
