In the run-up to the Bengal elections 2021, both the defender and the challenger, Trinamool Congress and the BJP, respectively, have turned to Tollywood. So who in the Bengali film industry stands where?
The Bengal 2021 election, it is safe to say, has left Tollywood divided. The Left has left the building, and the new crop of Bengal's 'intellectuals' are quickly grabbing the pole best suited to them, ahead of the polls. The latest one on the list is Srabanti Chatterjee, who on Monday, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the presence of BJP National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya and the party’s state president, Dilip Ghosh. A couple of days ago, actors Kanchan Mullick and Saayoni Ghosh, and director Raj Chakraborty joined the defenders, Trinamool Congress. It's now time for lights, camera, and some action.
