BJP Telangana's chief spokesperson Krishna Sagar Rao demanded a ban on the Popular Front of India (PFI) after four party activists were arrested in Telangana.
Telangana BJP chief spokesperson Krishna Sagar Rao on Thursday asked the Union Ministry of Home Affairs to ban the Popular Front of India (PFI) after police arrested four party activists in Nizamabad. “Ban the radical organisation,” said Rao.
The Nizamabad Police on Wednesday arrested three PFI activists, Shaik Sadullah, Mohammed Imran and Mohammed Abdul Mobin after conducting a raid at Sahdullah’s house. The three were discussing the action to be taken after another PFI activist was arrested earlier on July 4.
Police had arrested Abdul Qader, who is linked to PFI, on July 4 after conducting a raid on his house. According to the police, Qader, who is skilled in martial arts, karate and kung fu, was training nearly 200 party members for the past six months.

Police said they recovered books from Qader’s house which had anti-national activities mentioned in them. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ravindra Babu said, “During the course of the investigation, Abdul Qader revealed that the main purpose of PFI seems to be to carry out service programs and to select innocent and active Muslim youths to inculcate anti-Hindu ideology in them. They will then be given all kinds of training, especially physical training.”
Abdul Qadar had confessed that similar workshops along with physical training are being conducted elsewhere by the PFI in Nizamabad.
KR Nagaraju, the Police Commissioner (CP) of Nizamabad said, “PFI’s main agenda is to create law and order problems across the country and carry out attacks on other religions.” He added that the three arrested on Wednesday also confessed to their crimes.
