President Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping spoke on a secure video call for nearly two hours Friday morning, discussing Russia's war against Ukraine and "other issues of mutual concern."
Details on what both sides said have so far come exclusively from China, which has released multiple "readouts" – general descriptions of what was discussed. The White House has so far provided no details aside from when and where the call took place, and Biden ignored questions Friday after about his message to Xi after he made remarks about a new government health research project.
