President Biden on Saturday told Polish officials the U.S. has “thousands of people a day” trying to cross the U.S. southern border just as officials are bracing for a massive migrant surge in the months ahead and are already seeing signs of increased numbers.

"We understand that because we have in our southern border thousands of people a day literally, not figuratively, trying to get to the United States," he said.
