Madrid: Real Betis announced the signing of Brazil international winger Antony on loan from Manchester United on Monday on a five-year deal, which follows his successful loan spell in Seville in the second half of last season.
Betis did not announce the size of the transfer fee but various Spanish media have reported a figure of 25 million euros ($29.3 million).
Some British media reported that part of the fee was made up of add-ons while United retain a 50 percent sell-on clause.
The move had been expected throughout the summer window after Antony, who failed to impress United boss Ruben Amorim after he took over the helm at Old Trafford in November, had shone on loan at Betis.
"His impressive performances in green and white yielded nine goals and six assists in 26 appearances, playing a decisive role in the club's qualification for European competition and in reaching the historic UEFA Conference League final," Betis said in a statement.
