
Bengal Covid Curbs For 2 More Weeks; Restaurants, Factories Can Reopen

The West Bengal government today extended by two weeks the lockdown imposed in the state to control the surge in Covid cases during the deadly second wave of the pandemic, but announced several relaxations to the curbs in place.
The government has allowed all production units to resume operations with 50 per cent staff strength and also given a go-ahead to restaurants and bars to start dine-in services with 50 per cent seating capacity.
