Casual togs, a chilly treat and unmasked dismay are the makings of the hot season’s hottest look thanks to Jennifer Lopez’s ever-edgy and allegedly estranged husband.
“Enjoying my ‘Ben Affleck Summer,’” announced NYC tastemaker Michael Major in a cheeky TikTok clip. “Walking around drinking a Dunkin’ iced coffee while really stressed out.”
Clotheshorses from the Big Apple and beyond are bidding farewell to haute couture from luxe labels to, instead, dress like Affleck, 51 — whose unfussy fits and apparent agitation seem to really resonate with Gen Zs and millennials nationwide.
The Affleck effect comes as the unpretentious cousin of the buzzy “Adam Sandler fashion” fad. The ultra-informal movement invites leisure lovers to mimic the “Big Daddy” star’s signature shabby chicness with baggy tops and basketball shorts.
