A powerful storm racing across the central US will produce a range of potential hazards, including the possibility of strong nighttime tornadoes, heavy snow and strong winds to start the weekend.
Severe weather is expected to develop late Friday from the lower Mississippi Valley to central Ohio ahead of a strong cold front, with the greatest threat for nighttime tornadoes stretching from Arkansas to Indiana.
Over 55 million people are at risk for severe storms Friday.
