BCCI against postponement or suspension of Manchester Test, will seek cancellation in worst-case scenario

India tour of England: The BCCI will not seek to postpone or suspend the 5th Test in case India players are not able to take the field for the series finale on Friday amid Covid-19 scare in their camp. Assistant physio Yogesh Parmar tested Covid-19 positive on Thursday.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India is not keen on postponement or suspension of the 5th Test, scheduled to get underway from September 10 in Manchester, after India's physio Yogesh Parmar tested positive for Covid-19, forcing players to go into isolation on the eve of the series finale. In case any of the players test Covid-19 positive and India are not able to take the field on Friday in Manchester, the BCCI would seek cancellation and sharing of World Test Championship points between the two sides. India are currently leading England 2-1 in the 5-Test series after having scripted a remarkable come--back-from-behind victory in the 4th Test at Oval.More Related News
