Bank holidays in March 2022: According to RBI list, the number of holidays has been fixed at seven in the coming month. The rest are weekend holidays.
Mahashivratri, Holi and other holidays will lead to closure of bank branches for 13 days in the month of March. Out of these 13, seven holidays are as per Reserve Bank of India (RBI) calendar, which others are the weekends.
It is important to note that bank branches in every state of the country will not remain closed for all 13 days. The holiday list includes the festivals celebrated either in one state, a group of states or most of India.
Here is the list of bank holidays for the next month:
On the first day of the month (March 1), banks will remain closed in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram due to Mahashivratri.
