Doha, Qatar: The General Directorate of Endowments at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has renewed its sponsorship of the “Tejan Al Noor” International Quran Recitation Competition, organised by Jeem TV, for the 14th consecutive year during the holy month of Ramadan.
The continued support comes under the Endowment Fund for the Service of the Quran and Sunnah, reaffirming the Directorate’s commitment to backing Quranic initiatives, particularly during Ramadan, a month marked by heightened spiritual engagement and devotion to the Holy Qur’an.
The sponsorship reflects the Directorate’s broader mission to promote the teaching of the Quran and instil its values in younger generations through impactful institutional partnerships.
By bringing together endowment work and purposeful educational media, the initiative aims to achieve sustainable educational impact and reinforce the message of waqf in serving the Book of Allah and spreading its teachings.
Speaking at a press conference held at the Directorate’s headquarters, Eng. Hassan bin Abdullah Al Marzouqi, Director-General of the General Directorate of Endowments, underscored the centrality of the Quran as a source of guidance and a lasting miracle. He emphasised that the Directorate is keen to support initiatives that encourage the teaching of the Quran, inspire young people to perfect its recitation, and deepen their understanding of its meanings.
