Doha, Qatar: The General Directorate of Endowments at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting community partnerships that promote environmental awareness and strengthen a culture of sustainability in society.
This comes through its collaboration with the A Flower Each Spring Programme, one of Qatar’s leading environmental initiatives that combines community education with the preservation of natural resources.
The announcement was made during a recent press conference held at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Endowments.
The partnership reflects an integrated model in which endowment work supports environmental and educational initiatives, contributing to the achievement of several Sustainable Development Goals, particularly environmental education, ecosystem protection, and the development of a society that is more aware of its responsibilities toward the environment and future generations.
Eng Hassan bin Abdullah Al Marzouqi, Director General of the General Directorate of Endowments, expressed pride in the longstanding partnership with the “A Flower Each Spring” Programme, describing it as a distinctive model for activating the role of endowments in supporting environmental awareness and sustainability. He explained that the cooperation aligns with the wishes of donors whose endowment revenues are allocated to serve society and preserve natural resources through the Family and Childhood Endowment Fund.
