Doha: Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs H E Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem yesterday laid the foundation stone of three endowment projects in Jabal Thuaileb in Lusail, Al Maamoura and Abu Hamour.

The Jabal Thuaileb project is the largest endowment project in the country, as it includes 25 residential buildings with 881 apartments.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Minister of Municipality H E Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah and Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council H E Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti and a number of senior officials.

Speaking at the event, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al Thani said that the three projects reflect the commitment of the General Department of Endowments to develop endowment projects and fulfil the conditions of the honourable donors, who contribute to enhance societal and economic values.

He said that Jabal Thuaileb project aims to enhance the investment endowment and achieve sustainable development by providing an integrated residential environment.
