Atal Pension Yojana subscribers increase to 3.68 crore

Over 65 lakh people have subscribed to Atal Pension Yojana during the current financial year so far taking the total number of subscribers to 3.68 crore. 

New Delhi: More than 65 lakh people have subscribed to Atal Pension Yojana during the current financial year so far taking the total number of subscribers to 3.68 crore, the Finance Ministry said on Wednesday, January 5. 

The asset under management increased to Rs 20,000 crore. 56 per cent of the total subscribers are male while 44 per cent are female.

Atal Pension Yojana (APY) can be subscribed by any Indian citizen in the age group of 18-40 years having a bank account and its uniqueness is attributable to three distinctive benefits.
