Astronomically Ramadan to begin on April 13: Qatar Calendar House

Doha: According to astronomical calculations conducted by astronomers at Qatar Calendar House (QCH), Tuesday, April 13 is expected to be the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan this year, and Monday, April 12, 2021 is the completion of the month of Sha`ban 1442 AH.
The official decision of the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan for this year remains within the competence of the Moon Sighting Committee of the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) in Qatar. Engineer Faisal Al-Ansari, Executive Director of the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ansari Complex, stated that the crescent of the blessed month of Ramadan for the year 1442 AH will be born at dawn on Monday, April 12, 2021 AD, at 5:31am Doha local time (2:31 am GMT). The sun will set on Monday in Qatar at 5:55 pm, while the date of sunset for the crescent of the blessed month of Ramadan will be at 6:16 pm, which means that the crescent will set 21 minutes after sunset on Monday, and this period will increase whenever we head west.More Related News
