The asteroid, labelled 2008 GO20 that could be up to 220 metres wide which is double the size of London's Big Ben. Even though it will be in close proximity to Earth's orbit there is an extremely low chance that it would make contact with the surface. The asteroid is cruising at over 8 kilometres per second, which is around 28,800 km/hour, a speed so high that it could annihilate anything in its way.
