Assamese people should take control of state’s farming lands: CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma called on Assamese people to take control of the state’s farming lands and said that Assam must become self-reliant for its food products to become a developed state.
Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday urged the youths of the state to dedicate themselves in agricultural fields, claiming that Assam’s fertile land were occupied by illegal infiltrators who saw opportunities due to the local peoples’ disinterestedness for hard work.
He also called on the youth of the state to take up agriculture in a big way instead of running after government jobs and easy money.
