The resolution to make Rahul Gandhi as the Congress chief was proposed by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, who was being seen as a strong contender for the post, in a meeting that was held in Jaipur.
The Congress unit in Rajasthan on Saturday unanimously passed a resolution, calling for the appointment of Rahul Gandhi as the party president in the upcoming election.
The resolution to make Rahul Gandhi as the Congress chief was proposed by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, who was being seen as a strong contender for the post, in a meeting that was held in Jaipur.
A resolution was also passed authorising the party high command to appoint the Rajasthan Congress president.
