Ashes: Hobart replaces Perth as venue for 5th Test which will be played in day-night format

Ashes 2021-22: Cricket Australia on Saturday confirmed that the 5th Test will be played in a day-night format and will be hosted by Hobart. The series finale was originally scheduled to be played at Perth from January 14.

Cricket Australia on Saturday confirmed that the Bellerive Oval in Hobart will host the 5th and final Test of the Ashes series from January 14. For the first time in the history of the Ashes series, two day-night Tests will be played as the 2nd one in Adelaide and the final one in Hobart is set to be played with the pink ball.

Cricket fans in Tasmania have received an early Christmas present as Hobart will host an Ashes Test for the first time in history.
