According to them, malls have already suffered losses worth 25,000-30,000 crore rupees during the second wave of the pandemic. Mahesh Kumar, chairman of Shopping Centres Association of India and chief executive officer of Infiniti Malls, said, "Malls have suffered a lot due to the lockdown. Unlike last year, we don't want to open last. We will follow all the standard operating procedures and ensure screening. We want the government to support us and make sure retail shops are able to open.
