Arrest made in fatal shooting of husband of former Miss America contestant, police say

A suspect is in custody following last weekend's fatal shooting that claimed the life of the husband of a former Miss America contestant, according to police in Montgomery, Alabama.
In a news release, the Montgomery Police Department said Thomas Hand Jr., 37, was shot and killed on January 22 on a street in Montgomery.
Police provided no details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
