Cairo: Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit emphasised the great importance the League attaches to developing relations between Arab states and India, particularly within the framework of the Arab-Indian Forum, which has witnessed remarkable progress in various fields.
This came during Aboul Gheit's meeting on Thursday in Cairo with Indian Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh.
They also discussed the latest regional and international developments, foremost among them the situation in the Gaza Strip, especially with the announcement of the second phase of the peace plan and the formation of the Peace Council and the Gaza Administration Committee.
