Aquino Squadron wins Commandant's Banner at Air Force Academy, showcasing excellence in various activities, praised for teamwork and leadership.
The Aquino Squadron clinched the Commandant’s Banner at the presentation ceremony held on Saturday (November 30) at Air Force Academy in Dundigal. This award, symbolising overall excellence, marks the culmination of a series of events, including physical challenges, sports, debates, quizzes, cultural activities, cross-country runs, field camps, drill competitions and academics.
Squadron Cadet Captain Flight Cadet Phalke Saee Vikram accepted the banner on behalf of Aquino Squadron from Air Marshal S. Shrinivas, Commandant of the Air Force Academy. As a mark of their outstanding achievement, the squadron cadets will wear a lanyard on their left shoulder throughout the next term.
Addressing the Flight Cadets and Under Training Flying Officers (UTFOs), the Commandant praised their competitive spirit, teamwork, leadership, camaraderie and enthusiasm. He underscored the critical importance of physical fitness and mental resilience in a military career.
