Doha, Qatar: President of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat) Eng. Khalid bin Ahmed Al Obaidli participated in the Mobile World Congress – Doha 2025 (MWC25), which is being held for the first time in the Middle East and North Africa, attracting leading figures, decision-makers, and international experts in technology, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation.

During a panel discussion within the main program, Al Obaidli affirmed that governance and transparency are the cornerstones for building sustainable smart cities that place people at the heart of digital transformation, in line with the vision of His Highness the Amir and the Third National Development Strategy (NDS3).

He pointed out that preserving values, customs, traditions, and family is a key element in Qatar’s approach to building a balanced digital future that respects cultural and social identity. He explained that establishing robust governance frameworks aligned with the values ​​of Qatari society is what fosters trust and ensures a safe and transparent real estate environment. He emphasized that the State of Qatar possesses a leading digital infrastructure and internet penetration rates among the highest globally, reflecting investor confidence and enhancing the competitiveness of the real estate market.

Al Obaidli also stressed the importance of strengthening e-government and the state’s investments in digital transformation, as well as activating public-private partnerships to accelerate development and improve service efficiency. He added that developing citizens and supporting scientific research and innovation are fundamental to empowering national talent to lead the digital transformation in the coming years.

He noted that the rapid growth in real estate transactions, lease agreements, and sales deals reflects the market’s dynamism, high demand, and the confidence of local and international investors.
