Another Rahul Meeting Gandhi Today Over Chhattisgarh "Leadership Issue"

Some 35 Congress MLAs close to Bhupesh Baghel have also reached Delhi in what appears to be a show of strength by the Chief Minister.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, facing a challenge to his job from rival TS Singh Deo, headed to Delhi for a meeting with Rahul Gandhi today, sending strong signals to his Congress bosses that he does not intend to give up without a fight. "There is an issue of leadership, which we are addressing," said Congress's Chhattisgarh in-charge PL Punia, conceding for the first time that there is a crisis. Some 35 Congress MLAs close to Mr Baghel have also reached Delhi in what appears to be a show of strength by the Chief Minister. "Yesterday I received a message that I have to meet Rahul Gandhi, so I am going to Delhi," Mr Baghel told reporters at the airport in Raipur.
