Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a telephone call today from the President of the Syrian Arab Republic HE Ahmed Al-Sharaa.

During the call, HE President Al-Sharaa reiterated Syria's condemnation of the ongoing Iranian aggression against the State of Qatar and other countries in the region, which constitutes a violation of state sovereignty and a threat to their security and stability.

They also discussed developments in the region and the rapidly evolving situation on the ground.

Both sides emphasized the importance of an immediate cessation of hostilities and the necessity of preventing a descent into chaos.
