Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a telephone call this morning from President of the Federal Republic of Somalia HE Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
During the call, His Excellency the President expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Amir for his role and support in securing international condemnation of the Israeli decision to recognize the so-called Somaliland.
In turn, His Highness the Amir expressed to His Excellency the President the State of Qatar’s full support for Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, its commitment to Somalia’s security and stability, and its dedication to safeguarding the interests of its brotherly people.
The call also included a review of bilateral relations between the two countries and discussions on ways to strengthen and develop them, as well as an examination of the latest developments in Somalia.
