Amir holds talks with Iranian President

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi hold official talks at the Amiri Diwan

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi held an official talks session at the Amiri Diwan on Monday morning. At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness the Amir welcomed the Iranian President and the accompanying delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay, and the solid relations of the two countries further development and growth in various fields. For his part,  the President Raisi exressed his thanks to His Highness  the Amir for the warm reception and hospitality, looking forward to strengthen the Qatari-Iranian relations for the good and the interest of the peoples of the two countries. He also expressed his keenness to enhance and develop bilateral cooperation and advance it to regional and international levels. The session was attended by HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, HE the Chief of Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, HE the Minister of Sports and Youth Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, HE the Minister of Transport Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti, HE the Minister of Municipality Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, HE the Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, HE the Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al-Thani, and HE the Minister of Culture Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Thani. On the Iranian side, the session was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Head of the Presidential Office Gholam-Hossein Esmaeili, the Minister of Energy Ali-Akbar Mehrabian,  Transport and Urban Development Minister Rostam Qassemi, the Minister of Petroleum Javad Owji, and the Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade Seyyed Reza Fatemi Amin. His Highness the Amir and the Iranian President also held a bilateral meeting, during which they discussed the most prominent regional and international developments of common interest, in addition to the current developments in the region. President Ebrahim Raisi had arrived earlier at the Amiri Diwan, where he was accorded an official reception ceremony.
