Amir holds phone call with Palestinian president

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Saturday evening held a telephone conversation with the President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas to discuss the latest developments in Palestine. The Palestinian President briefed His Highness the Amir on the latest developments, in particular the Israeli occupation forces' attacks on worshipers in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the defenseless Jerusalemite citizens, and the arbitrary measures in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem which represent a flagrant violation of their rights and the international law. His Highness the Amir affirmed to President Abbas the firm position of Qatar in support of the brotherly Palestinian people to restore their legitimate national rights. In this regard, President Abbas expressed thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Amir for the valuable efforts made by Qatar to support the Palestinian people in their just cause.
