A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed in Calcutta High Court seeking an Enforcement Directorate (ED) probe into singer KK's event. This comes hours after a plea was filed in the high court seeking a CBI inquiry into KK's death.
Kolkata-based lawyer Sayon Banerjee filed a PIL seeking an ED probe into alleged misappropriation of college funds for KK's event at Nazrul Manch.
Banerjee claimed that there were financial irregularities in the fest organised by the Gurudas College. He questioned how a Trinamool Congress-run students union conducted a fest when there was no students' union at Gurudas college since 2018.

The PIL also showed a pass with the number 4043 on it. As per Banerjee, there was black marketing of the passes by the members of the students union itself. He claimed that Nazrul Manch's seating capacity was 2,440, more passes were issued.
The Kolkata-based advocate has asked for an independent inquiry into the alleged misappropriation of college funds.
