"American Idol" runner-up Willie Spence passed away in a car accident on Tuesday. The season 19 contestant was just 23 years old.
The preliminary accident report from Tennessee Highway Patrol says a tractor-trailer was stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 24 East at Mile Marker 147. Spence, driving his 2019 Jeep Cherokee, left the roadway and collided with the back of the trailer. Caroline Thayer is an entertainment writer for Fox News Digital.
