In Tamil Nadu’s Salem district, a statue of BR Ambedkar was vandalised on Saturday night. On Sunday morning, the right arm of the statue was found broken.
The incident, which took place in Kamalapuram colony in Omalur town, created a stir in the area. The locals staged a ‘road roko’ (block the road) protest and demanded that immediate action be taken against the miscreants.
